Hello!
I’m Edie, and I’m a puppeteer, performer and theatre maker. I’m currently based on my narrowboat Erik Bloodaxe, floating around London.
I trained at Curious School of Puppetry in 2016, and have worked as a puppeteer and puppetry director ever since. I’ve been lucky enough to work with some amazing artists and companies, including Wise Children, Birmingham Rep, the Royal Shakespeare Company, Edinburgh Royal Lyceum and the Puppet Theatre Barge - you can see my Spotlight CV here.
I also make my own work which blends puppetry with clowning, storytelling, music and cabaret. The stuff I like to make is often silly, sometimes surprising and hopefully thought-provoking. I love to find the magic in the mundane and the epic in the ordinary. I like making things which are beautiful, meaningful and sometimes a bit dangerous. I make some things by myself, but most of all I like doing things with other people.
Please feel free to explore my website and find out more about what I do, and get in touch if you have any thoughts or questions!
